Russell A. Brown grew up in Santa Barbara, California and attended Hollister Elementary School and La Colina Junior High School. Mr. Brown lettered in varsity soccer and volleyball at San Marcos High School.
Following high school, Mr. Brown attended the University of California at Davis where he played soccer and majored in sociology with law and society emphasis. As a collegiate student-athlete, he was the captain of the soccer team for two years and graduated with a 3.0 grade point average.
Mr. Brown's first criminal defense work came in 2007 when he worked as a law clerk for criminal defense and family law attorneys in Santa Barbara. He also gained vital criminal defense skills while volunteering for the Loyola Law School Innocence Project, a non-profit organization that assists prisoners with post-conviction relief, including habeas corpus petitions.
Mr. Brown graduated from Loyola Law School in 2012 and began working for a national civil litigation firm.
Since January 2016 Mr. Brown has worked with experienced Santa Barbara attorneys, including Robert F. Landheer, to provide criminal defense, immigration, civil litigation, and restraining order services. Mr. Brown's goal is to improve the Santa Barbara community by providing quality legal services.
In his free time Mr. Brown volunteers as a soccer coach at his alma mater, San Marcos High School.
